Research
The Orthopaedic Education and Research Institute of Southern California (or OSI Foundation)
The Foundation
The Orthopaedics Education and Research Institute is
a non-profit organization (501c3) that was founded by
physicians at the Orthopaedic Specialty Institute in
2002. Physician participants desire to enhance the
quality of life for those patients affected by
musculoskeletal disease. This is achieved through a
variety of means including but not limited to the
practice of excellence in patient care.
Research
We are actively involved in medical
research and are currently supporting
multiple projects teamed with industry
leaders and innovators to develop new
orthopaedic treatment modalities based on
sound, scientific methodology. This will
ultimately improve outcomes for patients
with musculoskeletal disease.
Education
In addition to research, the Foundation
also supports resident training in
conjunction with the Department of
Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Irvine Medical
Center. As much as research is important for
the future care of our patients, resident
education is just as important to train the
next generation of skilled surgeons.
Financial support for this valuable endeavor
is achieved only through the generous
donations to our foundation.
We
appreciate your support and it is through
tax deductable donations that we are able
continue and perform this vital education
and research program.
Mission Statement
"The mission of the Orthopaedic Education
and Research Institute is to conduct
clinical outcomes, advance current treatment
options and develop new treatment options to
improve the quality of life for our patients
with musculoskeletal disease. In addition we
are actively engaged in Orthopaedic resident
training and education for our future
generation of orthopaedic surgeons.”
